Purpose of the 3D tunnel template

When all Gutta Percha markers across the axial, sagittal, and coronal planes fit their corresponding digital outlines simultaneously, you can safely say that your error margin is below the range of 0.X millimeter. By aligning multiple fixed geometric anchors at the exact same moment, we completely eliminate rotational and scaling errors inherent in standard surface approximations.

Initial Arch Scan & Template Printing
We design and send you the custom Radiologic Template STL containing multiple 3D tunnels. You print it in-office.
Gutta-Percha Engagement
Insert Gutta-Percha cones in the tunnels, retention is assured with friction, cut the excess of the cone with scissors, a scalpel blade or any hot instrument
CBCT Acquisition
Capture the patient's CBCT scan wearing the template with the Gutta Percha markers . Make sure the template is well seated, and immobile during acquisition (if occlusion is stable patient can bite down on it to stabilize it, if not apply a joint of denture glue only in the margins of the template before acquisition, and press firmly)
